I recently started a new project on instagram called Book Share! Every other week I’m giving away 2-3 gently used books usually fiction though cookbooks and non-fiction will be in the mix too. It’s completely free and open to anyone in the USA, I pay shipping all I ask is that you keep sharing it!
Wait free books?
Yep! This is project was started because really, 2020 sucked for everyone. I wanted to give books I’d finished away to new homes and to brighten someone’s day. As a bonus, in sharing books I no longer need - I’m extending their life, maybe saving a tree branch or two, and supporting the US postal system in a very small way. I used to work in publishing and LOVE to read to I have a lot to give away!
How does it work
It’s pretty simple! Here’s a quick breakdown!
- Every other Saturday at 1pm EST/10am PST I post 2-3 gently used books to instagram stories on @clubbookshare.
(You can get a sneak peak of the next drop of books via email the night before if you sign up here.) - If you want one of the books (and live in the USA) send me a DM (direct message) asking for the book you want.
- If you’re the first person to ask - you get the book! I’ll ask where to send it and it will be shipped via USPS
- I’ll repeat this until I run out of books!
If you’re wondering what kinds of books are included - it will be a mix! Mostly fiction but there will be a mix of cookbooks and non-fiction sprinkled throughout. Here’s a sampling of what’s been sent out already.
