It seems as though every blogger under the sun is posting about major life changes this week. Whether its moves, babies, downsizing, scaling up - you name it and I’ve seen it in my blog feed. Well I’m popping my head out to share some of the same 😉
Last May “A” and I made the decision to move from our big box apartment in the bay area to Brooklyn. And in the span of the next 30 days - we found a new apartment, ended our SF lease, packed up our whole life, I found a new job, and we flew to New York. In ONE. MONTH. honestly it’s a testament to our marriage that we not only did not kill each other, we actually made the whole transition pretty smoothly. To add to the chaos adventure, I stepped off the plane and about 12 hours later walked in to my new work - East coast jet lag and all.

In spite of living off a hot plate our first month (our appliances weren’t installed yet) I love our charming little brownstone with it’s teeny yard. I’m thrilled that I’m within walking distance of a year-round farmer’s market, dozens of tasty restaurants and a beer garden.

So what does that mean for this blog? A lot actually!
You may have notice that it’s been pretty. darn. quiet here this year. Some of you, my readers, may have given up on me and for that I don’t blame you in the slightest. The last year and a half I’ve been consumed with work (creative direction - it turns out - is all consuming as a job and leaves you pretty drained when it comes to dreaming up content for your blog).
My new job leaves me with more time and brain space, so I’ve got all sorts of new content planned for you all and I’m SO EXCITED! I’ve also got some other pretty cool news/projects to share in upcoming weeks - but at any rate expect the posting cadence here to rev up over the next two weeks. I hope you’ll all check out the new stuff 🙂 and let me know if you have any requests!
